System Requirements

 Your system need the following requirements before proceeding. You need at least WordPress version 5.0+ installed for this theme to work properly. It is strongly recommended that you always use the latest stable version of Wordpress to ensure all known bugs and security issues are fixed. Other requirements:

•     PHP version 6+ or greater. But for maximum speed, we recommend to use PHP version 7+
•     MySQL version 5.0.15 or greater.

 WordPress theme is simply a group of files , called template, bundled together that, when activated in CMS, determine the look and basic function of your site. By using Black theme, you can have your site up and running with a new design - pretty fast. Theme installation is very easy process. Especially when you've chosen the theme you want to use, you'll need to install it into your WordPress website. You'll have the following two choices, as you did when adding new plugins:

•     You can add the theme directly from within the WP Admin, using "Upload Theme" option. From Admin Panel go the following path Appearance -> Themes -> Add New -> Upload Theme and select the zip theme, then click Install Now.
 
•     If your server is not set up properly or you have any problems, you'll have to extract and then upload the theme by hand. Using your favorite FTP client tool upload theme folder into the folder path /wp-content/themes/ on your server and active it from admin panel.

Note: On your WordPress site, the wp-content/themes folder holds all your themes. Each theme you install gets its own subfolder. All of a theme's style sheets and template files reside inside the theme's folder.

Essential Plugins Installation:

After successful theme installation, you'll see the below notice box that you need to install essential plugins.

Required plugins installation window

Click "Begin installing plugins".

The installing process status will be shown in your browser. It may takes a few minutes, so please be patient.

After completing the activation and no bug occurred, you will see status of all plugins is activated.

Demo Content Import

One Click Demo Import:

By using One click import demo data option you get the exact copy of the demo template by just clicking one click.

Step-1:

Click Import Demo button

Step-2:

Don't select any option just click Continue & import button. It will take several minutes to import.

Import Demo Contents Manually:

If you choose to install manually the demo content then you should install three files(contents.xml , widgets.wie , settings.json). These three files is located inside the Black_Wordpress zipped file. After extracted the zipped file you could find the folder demo contents. The three files is availale inside the demo contents folder.

contents.xml file importing

To import contents.xml file then you use WordPress import tool to upload the xml file to your website. contents.xml file contains (posts,pages,menu...)

WordPress import tool is located in Tools -> Import -> WordPress. Install the Wordpress import after that upload this contents.xml file to your website. (see the below screenshots)

Select contents.xml file and click "upload file and import. Don't forget to check "Download and import attachments" box and click "submit"

widgets.wie file importing

To import widgets.wie file then you should install the plugin Widget Importer & Exporter. widgets.wie file contains widgets of the dmeo template.

After you install the plugin then goto Tools -> Widget Importer & Exporter. There you could import the widgets.wie file. (see the below screenshots)

settings.json file importing

settings.json file contains redux framework theme options so you install the file inside the Redux options.(See the screenshot below). Click the upload file button and select the settings.json from your computer then click the import button. As the name suggests the Framework contains the theme options. We explain in detail about the theme options few sections later in this documentation.

Menu Settings

Its an important part of Black Theme Installation process. Select your menu for menu location. Go to Dashboard-> Appearance-> Menus then click on Manage Locations and select "Main Menu".(See the screenshot below).

Set Home Page (Required):

WordPress shows blog posts by default as the front page. If you want to look like Black demo then you need to set Home Page. See the way how to set Static Home Page goto Settings->Reading . From here select static page then for Front page select Home page 1 and for post page leave it as select.(See the screenshot below).

Setup Permalink(Required):

Make sure to configure permalink. By default WordPress uses web URLs which have question marks and lots of numbers in them; however, WordPress offers you the ability to create a custom URL structure for your permalinks and archives. This can improve the aesthetics, usability, and forward-compatibility of your links. From WP admin panel go to the following path Settings->Permalink then select (Post name).(See the screenshot below).

Change favicon:

Follow the below Screenshots to change the favicon.

Click Change image button and change the favicon.

Contact form 7:

Once the Contact form 7 plugin is installed and activated. Goto contact. Then select the default Contact form 1 and delete it (See the screenshot below). This default contact form would appear after you installed the demo content so delete it before the demo content install because then only the contact form we created would appear in the front end

Black used Redux Framwork Plugin for Theme Options. All options are easily readable and configurable. It's very easy to use.(See the screenshot below).

We showed every options in the below screenhshots. You could configure the theme by using the options. Lets see the screenshots of each sections below

We created Sliders with the slider revolution. To install the slider goto Slider Revolution in the admin and click the manual import option(See the screenshots below) and install the slider-1.zip and slider-2.zip. Sliders available inside the downloaded Black_Wordpress package. Sliders locatede in Black_Wordpress/demo contents/revslider
